Choose Your Language Model: Claude or GPT
In this short video, we’ll walk through how to update the language model used in your Marketing Magic account.
This setting is mostly down to personal preference. You might prefer the results you get from OpenAI, or you might find that Claude gives you content that feels closer to what you’re looking for.
Choosing Your Language Model
Inside your Marketing Magic account, you can choose which language model you want to use from the dropdown menu.
The available options include:
OpenAI 4.1
OpenAI 5.4
Claude Opus 4.7
Claude Sonnet 4.6
Different models can produce slightly different results, so it’s worth testing them out and seeing which one works best for the type of content you’re creating.
When to Try a Different Model
You might want to switch models if you’re not quite getting the result you want, or if you’re working on a specific type of content and want to compare the outputs.
For example, you could test different models when creating:
Social posts
Sales pages
Bulk transcripts
Longer-form content
Launch content
Email content
OpenAI 4.1 may be useful for things like bulk transcripts or similar tasks, but the best option will depend on what you’re creating and the style of results you prefer.
How to Compare Results
A simple way to test the models is to pick one tool you use often, such as social posts or sales pages, and generate a piece of content as normal.
Then, swap the language model, refresh or regenerate a section, and compare the results.
You may find that one model gives you punchier copy, while another gives you more detailed or natural-feeling content. There isn’t one “right” answer here — it’s about finding the model that works best for your brand, your tone of voice, and the kind of content you’re creating.
Getting Support
If you’re not sure which language model to use, or you’re getting results that don’t feel quite right, you can send a message through support.
We can take a look at what’s happening in your account and make recommendations based on the content you’re trying to create.
Next Steps
Have a play around with the different language models and test them across the tools you use most often in Marketing Magic.
Once you find a model that gives you the results you like, you can keep using it as your preferred option.
